What is Dermapen?
Dermapen is the latest innovation in treating wrinkles, scars, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, cellulite and stretch marks.
Designed to be used on its own or in conjunction with topical products, the Dermapen’s accurate and minimally intrusive penetration allows not only a much higher absorption of serums and creams but has also been proven to stimulate collagen production, dramatically improving the condition of the skin.
Collagen Induction Therapy or Dermarolling is a relatively new technology, which combines the ancient Chinese acupuncture techniques with the contemporary mesotherapy practice.
How does it work?
The procedure of using the Dermapen is commonly known as Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy which has been proven to stimulate new collagen synthesis in the skin to restore smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin. Numerous, ultra-fine micro-needles penetrates through the epidermis at a perpendicular angle to create microscopic punctures on the skin’s surface using a specialist medical device, for both faster and more precise needle penetration. New studies have shown that by opening the skin in this way there is a dramatic increase in the penetration of any topical product used; increasing its efficacy whilst also stimulating the skin’s healing mechanisms to regenerate healthy skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and scars. The benefit of a perpendicular treatment over manual angled needles, means less trauma to the skin, promoting faster healing times and shorter down times.
Dermapen promotes scar-less healing and natural collagen reproduction, similar to fractional laser treatments, IPL, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels, but without the side effects and downtime and can effectively treat hard-to-reach places (around the eyes, nose and lips).
